In order to commemorate the 50th aniversary of the organisation (2012), Gran Ragu launched a design contest aiming to produce packaging design for a range of products. One of the key points of the brief stressed on the need to develop the brand around the concepts of the tradition and the crafty home-made taste of Gran Ragu's instant sauces for pastas across to general public. The typographic proposal shown above was the winner in the competition run between two design schools from Milano (Italy), during the 1st semester of 2012. These products were commercialised during 2012 and 2013 using the brand identity proposal.
